THE MIRROR-72HUA

2019 - JENA, GERMANY

The MIRROR – make pollution great again The installation the MIRROR stands as an artistic intervention designed to transform the dynamic urban landscape of Jena-Lobeda. Conceived within the context of the 72 Hours Urban Action competition, this project turns the challenge of make pollution great again into a visually captivating and thought-provoking experience. The installation creatively responds to the surrounding environment, converting the pervasive sounds of the highway and the continuous wind into a harmonious symphony of light and sound. A delicate, yet robust, mesh structure stretches across the existing seating area and adjacent green space, creating a sense of sanctuary amidst the urban hustle. This design balances the need for peaceful refuge with the desire for an open view of the distant surroundings. Soft, colorful stripes ripple in the wind, adding a layer of dynamic movement to the space while encouraging those passing by to stop, listen, and engage with the environment in a new way. SHRIFAL HEIGHTS

2014 - AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT, INDIA

A site-specific sculptural installation designed to mark the entrance of Shrifal Heights while inviting residents and visitors to pause, gather, and experience the space. These monumental floral forms are more than just identity markers—they function as public urban furniture, creating shaded alcoves and illuminated zones that transform at dusk. Crafted in mild steel with CNC precision, the structures come alive with outdoor halogen lighting that projects intricate shadows through perforated surfaces, making them both functional and atmospheric. Inspired by the name Shrifal (meaning coconut in Sanskrit, a traditional symbol of prosperity and welcome), the forms resonate with cultural memory while enhancing community life through their inviting spatial quality.
