KAYAKALP FACADE

YASHASVI DEVELOPERS PVT LTD
2016 - AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT, INDIA

An urban skin intervention that redefines a building’s presence, Kayakalp breathes new life into a previously uninspiring façade. Through a thoughtful layering of texture, typography, and living surfaces, the design brings together visual identity and passive ecological intent.
DESIGN DETAILS
The Kayakalp Façade is more than a cosmetic overlay; it’s a spatial dialogue between architecture, language, and ecology. The project employs perforated brick jalis, planters, and metal meshwork to create a layered, responsive façade. The word Kayakalp — meaning "transformation" — is embedded in large Devanagari script, making the structure both landmark and message.
"Sometimes transformation doesn’t require demolition — just a conversation with light, material, and memory."
